Hi! I am so glad you're here.

About Me

I am a middle school educator, instructional leader, and curriculum designer pursuing a master’s degree in Learning Design and Technologies (LDT). This portfolio documents my development as a practitioner-scholar and highlights how research, data, and intentional design come together to support meaningful and equitable learning experiences. My professional goal is to work in curriculum design, instructional coaching, or learning experience design, where I can focus on the how of teaching—designing systems, materials, and supports that help both students and educators succeed. My dream is to create a “zero holes” curriculum that alleviates the logistical stressors for educators and provides them with standard based, research aligned, equitable resources to better the bar and rigor for all students no matter their grade or level.

My Story

I currently serve as an 8th grade ELA teacher and Humanities Player Coach at Meeting Street Brentwood. In this role, I design and internalize curriculum, monitor student growth, and coach teachers on instructional rigor and questioning. My approach centers on data-informed decision-making and constant iteration—adjusting pacing, scaffolds, and instructional moves based on what students actually need. This design mindset led to my students demonstrating the highest growth and proficiency gains at my school, an outcome that emerged from ongoing analysis and refinement rather than a single strategy.

Previously, at KIPP Sharpstown College Prep, I served as an 8th grade reading teacher, grade-level chair, and instructional coach, supporting curriculum alignment, interventions, and systems-level instructional practices across teams.

Professional Credibility

Professionally, I am defined by my ability to bridge classroom realities with intentional learning design. My work focuses on:

  • Data-informed instructional design and iteration

  • Curriculum coherence and alignment

  • Motivation, accessibility, and Universal Design for Learning

  • Teacher coaching and instructional systems

  • Bringing joy and hunger into every step of the learning process for both educators and students

This portfolio showcases projects and artifacts that reflect these competencies and my commitment to designing learning experiences that are responsive, equitable, and effective.
